Punctuation is powerful

A quick example would be how dastardly dashes and horrible hyphens are used:

Hyphen for joining words (keypad 'minus' key): ‐
En Dash (CTRL + keypad 'minus' key) for separating dates and other values: –
Em Dash (CTRL + ALT + keypad 'minus' key) for interruptions: —

Kinda understandable why most people just use the keypad's 'minus'. Coincidentally, I've just ordered a book about such things from The Rainforest.

EDIT: keyboard shortcuts for Microsoft Word.

Neither of those En Dash or Em Dash things worked for me. CTRL + keypad minus = Zoom out.

Sorry, I should have said: I think they might only work in MS Word. I've no idea how to get them up in browsers, apart from using copy and paste, of course.

That's why the bracket system {using brackets to expand and explain such as {}} is so powerful {and by powerful I mean suitable for describing meanings {meanings here refer to the point you want to take across}}
