About to install a TX3 and the push pins seem a lot tougher than the stock heatsink. As the motherboard is sitting inside the case, how hard would you guys say is too hard?

Cheers. :)

Watch for flex in the board personally i would stop once you get flex to about 1/2 the depth of the mobo stand offs if that makes sense, although this is possibly abit bold and you might want to be alittle bit more gentle than that!

Alright, I'm hoping it won't flex that much, I'm assuming they're designed to go in eventually without breaking anything?

Yeh they are, it is scary just how much force u need to give them some times, if you are really worried about doing in when the mobo is in the case, u can allways take the mobo out, and install the cooler, so that u can have ur hand under the mobo applying opposite force, not the best way to install, as they should install easy without having to do that.

But yeh u need to be firm, go from opposite corner to opposite corner.

The mobo being in the case is the only reason I bought the TX3. I planned on it being just a quick fix for the rising summer heat which didn't require hauling the mobo out.

I've pushed the pins through out the case in the hope it "softens" them up a tad. Once it's in I'll have it supported by some cable ties and such. If this thing falls somehow, it's going to do a lot of damage. :P
