Pyro Achievements and Unlocks...!

My clan is, add fireforce0 to steam friends.

If your a good player then we're always looking for new faces :)

Anyways, I'm not enjoying the Pyro madness at the moment. It will all settle down in a few weeks but it is still a pain >.<
I have not got all the medic weapons and have no desire to get the Pyro weapons as I never play Pyro. However the clan will probably advise I get them. When the Heavy & Spy achievements come out though....that will be very interesting :)

Yeah, but it looks good and the effects are pretty but I've already switched back to shotgun.

Axtinguisher is lethal against non-Pyros and backburner can be devastating. It's good enough as it is, I don't see why they give you an extra 50 health as well as guaranteed Crits from behind.

Overall, an excellent update for the Pyro (possible even slightly overpowered with the extra 50 health), can see him in competitive matches now, at last.
 
I'm only using it so I can ignite 500 foes with it to get that ach then back to the shotty.

I'll probably switch back to the shotgun after a while, since it's much more versatile. Flare gun is a bit limited in its use (and of course, as powerful as a pea shooter with all the flame-resistant Pyros running about). I still lurve using it though for pot shots at medics/snipers/demomen and maybe the odd scout :D

You must be able to bind a single key to select shot gun and then do a taunt?

A couple of times I've seen someone coming towards me around a corner, so knowing they'll walk infront of me in 2-3 seconds I've then had to fumble away selecting the shot gun and finding the taunt key.

Would be much easier just to press "H" for example...
 
Can't you enable quick select in the options screen? It's not like CS or HL2 where you sometimes toggle through a group of weapons with the numkeys. Each has their own key in TF2.

e.g. bind h "slot2; taunt"

Damn! I'm actually finding getting these achievements addictive now!

Still not unlocked anything for the medic or pyro yet :(

Earn your achievements... why cheat :confused: Makes you a better player earning your acheivements, I love dominating cheaters..:D

If you're armed with the shotgun, and taunt, you create a ball of fire in front of you which will kill and enemy.

I've found this very hard to do, and even had an enemy scout run RIGHT infront of me while the ball of fire was there, to no effect :(

I suspect you need to walk up to a non-moving enemy and do it at point blank.

Ha, i was on a server this morning and hadn't read the update news when suddenly i got the screen saying i had unlocked the ubersaw. I thought it was a bug until i saw this :D

I'm a bit disappointed though as i wanted to get all the remaining achievements before getting the ubersaw.

EDIT: For the OMGWTFBBQ achievement, i managed to find an AFK player to do it on. You have to be literally touching them to do it.

cause i play tf2 maybe one or two times a week for a short time, so can't be arsed wasting my time trying to do an achievement, i just want to have fun :/

I have to agree that 'earning' achievements holds no appeal whatsoever to me. I just want to play on even ground as everyone else (and some weapons are clearly better than the defaults).
