Q-tec

How would I go about making a reccomendation to OCUK?

Seeing as they only stock 1 type of Q-tec now, they seriously should look at Silverpowers for their budget range :D

There is a product recommendation section here but I don't know how often it is checked and it can only be seen by you and a moderator(Spie and maybe Gibbo). I think they also said that products are likely to be stocked only after a few recommendations from different people but worth a shot anyway :)

i have a q-tec 650 watts atm in a pentium 3 system, very stable lines there and no probs with it whatsoever.
Be4 that i used to have it it my p4 system (3.0 ghz scott, 4 x 512 mb ram, socket 478, 6600gt) where it worked ok but didnt have stable lines, made my pc unstable in some games and a lot of general crashes, i know its the q-tec as never had a single crash on that pc since i bought an Akasa 550w (powerplus series), in the p3 tho its mroe than enough the q-tec, atm i dont have that system anymore to kill my q-tec and i can't use it on my current mobo as it needs atx12 2.01(24 pin) and eps12v 2.11 (8 pin) wich the q-tec both lacks...
Whatever the case a q-tec is good enough for a low end pc but itll likely fail over time when u buy a performance graphics card for it and anything higher as an athlonxp throughbred or a p4 northwoord.

To any owners of q-tec wit ha high end pc: get rid of it, its making your pc unstable, im sure of that from experience.
To owners with a low end pc: dont worry bout it, its good enough for any mainstream pc, just dont exept to be able to put a high end card into it (geforce 6600series or higher, ati 9600 or higher) and have a crash/freeze-free pc when stressing it (gaming, redering, 3d, whatever that stresses both cpu and gfx card @ once)
