Just noticed this pop up on Steam today. Obviously I don't need to mention which game it's clearly trying to take cues from, but it looks quite interesting for me. :)

It's a different mechanic, and seems to be getting quite positive comments. I enjoy first-person-puzzlers, so think I'll take a gamble on it. Anyone else going to? :p

You're right, it's a clear rip-off of Zippy the Circle

Despite that, I'm willing to forgive it as it looks pretty awesome. I think I'll pick it up if it's not too expensive.

My friends are actually the designers and creators of this game. I was in university with them and this started to take off a few years ago. I did alpha and beta testing for them too. Its come a long way since the designs I saw before they started the developing the project. Its so good to see them finally release the game on Steam. I would recommend people this game if they liked Portal, although the game mechanics are very different.

Argh. Soft spot for indie developers makes it all the harder to resist buying...

I was going to say Rush at first, then the screenies loaded and it definitely took the style from Portal. Does look interesting but I'll probably look into it further down the line.

Its actually weird to see a game that I watched the whole development on actually be released. Somewhere I have photos of their original presentation for the game, bet they would feel weird seeing them.

Oh and just a little fun fact, this whole game has been created using visual scripting only - no actual 'programmer' was involved as they are all designers.

Interesting. Do you think they would mind if you shared any of those old screen shots? I'd love to see stuff like that as I have a strong interest in indie game dev.

Just bought the game btw. Should get a chance to try it tonight :)

I will ask them when I can. I am actually trying to chat to Dan (who is the main designer) on facebook now but I think he is busy.

Finished the first two sectors, and can recommend it. :) Great simple mechanic, but done very well.

Looking at the achievements, there aren't a massive number of sectors, but I'm sure the length and complexity of them will increase. That said, Portal isn't exactly the longest game in the world.

Just finished sector 2, everyone should give this a try. If you liked portal you'll love this. Simple in it's design and executed pretty well. Hoping it gets abit harder now and the other sectors will take me longer to solve.

Images are on their. The one I have linked too is the booth they setup at uni. Scroll through them all to see them at E3, Value, talking to Epic Games, Indie-something or other etc...

I see they met notch too. Sharing their common love of hexahedrons. :p

It has so far for me, had some quite clever puzzles so far. Can't recommend it enough. :)
