I need to sort myself out with some DDR3 ram. 3rd order from OCUK this week. DOH! And then I'll get some figures up at stock clocks, Overclocked on air clocks, and some phase action later on.

From the Web:
"The X38 supports a pair of PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots - certainly good for SLI set-ups. It supports a 1333MHz frontside bus speed and DDR 3 memory clocked at the same frequency. It'll take DDR 2 too, but only at up to 800MHz"

What DDR2 Ram would you pair with this then ?
And where did you get such sweetness from ? ;)

This motherboard is DDR3 only. Although Intel do have DDR2 versions.

I should have a choice of ram to use in the next few days.

Nice looking board, gonna be keeping an eye on this thread :), gonna be fun getting ram in and out when card goes in, its gonna be right on top of the memory brackets

I wonder how cheap that E8200 will be, around £130?, I hope its an awsome overclocker too!.

Will the Penryn CPU's perform better than the current ones, for example the 2.66Ghz E8200 put against the E6700 at 2.66Ghz surely the Penryn must be quite abit in front.

Looking forward to results though :D.

5-10% better clock for clock. I'm pretty sure i heard that somewhere :p

Was expecting more than that lol, still its heading in the right direction and the C2D's are fast as it is, if that 8200 overclocks nicely to 3.5 or more and is around £110 I'll probs get one of those.
