I think Max would have done it anyway, he had the pit stop and much fresher tyres.

Got to say I love the idea just posted where somehow it goes down to fastest lap in the last race to decide.
I know that won't happen, but THAT would be a good way to end.

Edit: 7 for me. It was good, but the front end was just another series ahead.
Some good drives, and actually better than I thought it would be. Not a classic though.

That lap the vsc came out ham put about 0.7s into verstappen in the first sector alone.

Fantastic drives from Alonso and Max. Strong weekend for Lewis. Bottas very unlucky with his puncture, but shouldn't have been relying on tactics to win

Clear one stop was the better strategy and the teams failed to realise. Red Bull could take the WCC here.

Midfield action made it a 6/10 for me.

I liked the days where Schumacher and Hakkinen would congratulate each other right after the race. Max just disappears. Doesn't seem to be a lot of respect between the two.

5/10 for me. Pretty dull up front, but some good results for Alpine and Aston.

Great result for Alonso, probably the best thing about this race (apart from the Ham win obviously). Shame Lewis couldn’t go for fastest lap but it makes the last two races tasty.

I can picture the last race of the season being a bizarre battle for fastest lap to decide the title

Shouldn't do, Hamilton needs to win the next 2 races to win the championship (assuming Max gets second in each), the fastest lap points won't make enough of a difference.

Would you respect Max? I wouldn't. He's a petulant child who has to resort to cheating often.

He's an extremely gifted race car driver, but a terrible sportsman.

Good race. Decent track honestly alonso made it worthwhile given the 1/2 was never in doubt.
