QNAP Disk Compatibility

I'm on the verge of picking up a 4-bay TS-431 but I was wanting to use my existing disks (toahiba DT01ACA200). Thing is, they're not listed in the QNAP supported list for this model, but DT01ACA200 is listed for other models.

From what I've read of other people's experiences, it should be fine to do but you're not technically supported if you have heat issues etc?

Is that actually likely?

Thought as much cheers, still getting tempted to repurpose the microserver. The potential power consumption is putting me off though.

Shouldn't be an issue - bare in mind though that usually with those type of NAS drives are wiped when you put them in for the first time.

Yes, when you set it up it'll wipe the disks clean so's you know
