Hey

Some of you may remember that i built my new pc a few months ago... and yes it is awesome... i was recently thinking about getting the Q6600... i currently have a e6300 overclocked and a Noctua NH-U12F cooling it.... but i am worried... do i need a quad core... and also i hear that they get very hot... would my cooling be up to it ? i don't really wanna get water cooling (££££ !!)

any help... suggestions would be very helpful !

Thanks

ok then... i'll leave it... after what you have said.. it does not seem like i really need one....

also i was wondering about a new hard drive... i was looking at the wd raptor...but again is that another waste of money ? also i wanted a lightscribe dvd drive... any thoughts on that ?

Thanks everyone ;)

yeah... but seriously... i don't wanna waste £175... i know you will say it won't be a waste... but what difference would i see... i am web/graphic designer... so would it help there ?

not really....

also at the moment... my e6300 is overclocked to around 2.66Ghz.. (yeah i know i am gettting there ;) and it has orthos load temps of around 55c.. i am sure that is not normal especially as i have a Noctua NH-U12F fitted... any thoughts ?

ok cool... well no... i don't suppose i need one... but none of us need anything really we just like to buy it because it makes us cool to think we all have uber pc's ;)

anyway... any thoughts on lightscribe or even the new £150 Blu-Ray burner/player they got here...

ok cool... so the cooling is fine.... i still don't know what to do about a Quad-core... and no-one knows about blu-ray or lightscribe ;)

yeah i know it is.... (really i do LOVE it !!! ha ha ha) i was just wondering if there was anything i could do to make the experience the best ever... i don't wanna spend money (really i don't i am really tight !!) but i was just thinking of anything that could improve it....

any thoughts ?

thanks for all the comments everyone... but i was thinking i currently have this RAM in my pc

OCZ RAM

and it is currently quite cheap... i was thinking i could add another 2GB which would bring it to 4GB !!! (wow that is a LOT of ram).. would this be good... or is it a waste of money... would i get a big improvement ?

after thinking some more... i was thinking i might get a Quad Core :) hehehe...
but i need to check if everything would be ok... i think my cooling would be ok but feel free to tell me if not ;) also my motherboard does support it does it not... i am almost certain it does... just making sure...

and anything else i might of missed please feel free to comment !

hey.... i am thinking about water cooling (well i have been thinking about it for a while now ;)) but i am just wondering... how much would it cost roughly... i mean i know we are talking 100's here... but how much do you think ? and also where do i begin... what inside my pc do i cool ? do i buy a kit or custom make it ?

Any help would be very nice :D

also some people tell me water cooling is too extreme... but for some reason i really really want it ;) just call it human nature !!

yeah i would be... what about cooling anything else.... like Graphic card... i assume cooling a 8800GTS would be expensive ?
