Quake champions

Hope its not too CPMA - the full on version of that movement lost some of the refinement of the original making it sharper which felt a bit bad while the hybrid version like the default in OSP that was somewhere between the two felt a lot better.

I've read that the CPMA movement in the video will be exclusive to certain characters and the normal movement of quake 3 will apply to others, not sure how it will work but if i had to choose I would go with the quake 3 movement character :)
 
From the videos I've seen so far it just looks like UT mixed with overwatch :confused:

Hope they have game modes where you don't have character abilities

Back in the days of quake2 / quake3 wasn't it mainly the modders & the community that made it so much fun? :)
Not sure anyone will capture that again but still hope this will turn out ok.

Are any of the original design team from quake or quake2 working on this?

Most of the leads like Tim Willits are old school id devs, some of the other guys have deep roots in quake.

Some of the main people working on it: John Hill (Zero4), Adam Pyle (SyncError) and Mike Rubits (Sponge) are proper old school quake 3 guys (from the community and/or late quake 3 development - not the original team that started work on quake 3).
