They said the requirements should be around what Quake 4 is, maybe a little higher. Apparently the E3 systems that it was shown on had the following specs:

Put it this way...from that spec a conroe and 8800 system will eat it no probs!Good developer...and its being designed for PC only...so performance should be good...if not excellent.

Maybe not long now...last thing I read it was to be released on June 7th! Cana wait for this one...hope its as good or beter than 2142.:D

Multiplayer Only...same sortoff gameplay as Enemy Territory and with specific roles etc. etc. It looks the dogs danglies off multiplayer games though!

It is teambased...and you will have to work with your team to complete the missions and beat the opposition...thats for defo!

Errr is this going to be only multiplayer? Any co-op options?

at the i30 presentation they said there will be bots available for co-op and the sort

and also as it runs on the doom3 engine aswell the game will be tailored to run on the same minimal hardware as quake 4

The Doom 3 engine?
Is the Quake 4 engine then based on the D3 engine

I can't wait for this! Will it have a storyline single player like Quake 4 or will it primarily be like UT or primary multiplayer?

As said it's multiplayer only mate, with the game play pretty much similar to the Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory which is free to download.

yeah its not demanding, i was watching a deveopler interview and they said they want as many people to play it as possible, offering great graphics for those who can, but also a lot of options to get it too run on low spec rigs.

Pretty sure they said the view distance is the whole map aswell, unlike battlefield 2.

That's a little disappointing - but BF 2142 is pretty much the same and that rocks :p So I'm still looking forward ;)

Apparently this new fangled 'megatexture' thing that they're using makes it possible for people with mid-range systems to get a very playable game whilst looking damn nice too.

Why can't vanguard have a nice modern non resource hog engine like quake4? I think VG is going down the crapper as far as pop. no wonder, such a pointless PvP system.
