IMO they taste of grease.
Isnt this the reason we have mums for?....Never mastered the homemade sausage roll. Always get too much expansion in the puff pastry which I'm sure TV chefs will tell you is essential for some BS reason but means you have to bite through too much flour and fat before you get to meaty goodness.
Beige mash of beigeness in your mouth now a sausage roll. It has got to the point where I rarely bother with any fast foods now if I'm honest. Last kebab - must be VERY drunk to think of one, and have skipped food everytime I've been out since - I didn't half finish. Burger king/Greggs can't remember my last while sober. They're no longer cheap, but have gotten worse IMO.
What’s the name of that place at train stations that does croissants and pastries? They do a bacon and cheese croissant, used to love them. Better than any sausage roll.
