Quantam of Solace...

Okay, just went to see it again, much much better second time around...you've just got to be prepared to invest and pay attention to it. Caught little bits I didn't the first time around.
It's worth another go to anyone who was dissappointed the first time. It's actually very decent Bond flick, definitely up there as one of the best.

I don't think you are used to Ken's posts, im more of a lurker than poster but he is just baiting you, and you have fallen for it ;)

I'm surprised he found the time to crawl out of his bunker and see this film after last week when those damned liberals stole the US elections meaning that decent folk like Ken will now have to pay all those taxes to the filthy poor. Pity him. He won't be able to afford to go see a movie after January. Damn Redistributors!

:p

I had seen and heard much disappointment regarding the film but had to make my own mind up and actually rather enjoyed it - granted it's very fast paced and lots of shaky camera work going on but I didn't loose track of things.
It's defo a film that you need to sit far back in the auditorium for as otherwise you would just see a big blur sitting anywhere near the front!

And Thunderballs one of the worst so it just goes to show

At a rating of 7.0 it's better than a lot of other bonds.

Will probably be judged to be better than Qos anyway considering it's now at 7.2 and continuing to drop.

It obviously did well enough for them to do a direct sequal in pretty much the same style. And while on initial release the name alone may have been enough to draw crowds Casino Royale went on to have a reasonably long and successful relase backed up with very good DVD sales too.

That doesn't apply to Qos though.

same here (good old orange wednesdays)

I thought the very same when the bird was getting off the bed i swear i saw some tang-a-lang.
I didnt think that much of it, it was a final ending to casino royal (it seemed like they made casino royal too long so they cut it into 2 movies)

In the action scenes it has to blury and miss lead (i know we will shake the camera really fast so looks like the action is quick)

Hopefully the next bond will be a lot better as it'll be a fresh one and not a follow on.

+daniel craig really doesnt suit a bond

I thought Casino Royale was one of the better bonds. From the character perspective and the point at which it's in Bond's life.

Later Bond starts having some fun but deep under the personality there's still the chip on his shoulder about authority/wealth and a sub-zero ruthless efficiency.

Given time I think Daniel Craig could progress the character into one liners but it's always going to be delivered with a laugh but I may just kill you duality.

If you watched the first film, then you'd understand and i thought it was really good.

Really enjoyed my self.

Hmm, now that you mention it I was sitting a lot further back on the my much better second viewing. It was still fairly hard to follow depsite seeing the first one though..

I thought that as well, the first fight scene, as they were both in suits, it made it really hard to see who was whom. Though there were some good camera angles used in the film.

I enjoyed it though.

I just saw it and thought it was rubbish. I guess it was an ok action film with some nice set pieces but that was about it. Where are the funny one-liners, outrageous stunts, crazy gadgets, and well characterised bad guys!

Not bond at all.

Bring back Goldeneye.

(soundtrack was good though)
