Quantum Break PC requirements

why did they have to make it win10 exclusive ? it's stupid, but thats microsoft for you, at least make a game that will utilize DX12 features and make it exclusive, dont do a crappy port and lock it on your stupid OS
this game wont have anything to do with DX12, it's just about windows 10, the never ending idiocy of microsoft, taking stuff hostage for you to upgrade to their crappy OS, even if it's the most perfect OS ever released, ppl do not like to be forced to do stuff

There's no need to be Win 10 only if it's not using DX12 features and it says DX12 so let's hope we see some of these fabled DX12 advantages that games are rumoured to be getting one day.

Its called the FX-9999, it is clocked at 7014MHz, draws 600W, comes bundled with a phase change cooler, costs £1800, and is just about on-par with an i7 4790. ;)
Just a quick FYI.

The phase change cooler actually uses the Tunney space-time matter bridge as it was the only was to transfer enough heat away from the chip.

"This isn't just some theoretical math proof. This is a functioning piece of technology – one that literally moves heat from our space/time and vents it out into another space/time.

why did they have to make it win10 exclusive ?
Because they want people to "upgrade" to Windows 10, simply put. That's the reason why all these games they're announcing aren't on Steam either, and will only be available through the Windows 10 store. These games probably wouldn't have even been ported were Microsoft not trying to push Windows 10 so hard, as it devalues the Xbone. But Windows 10 adoption is every bit as important to them now.

Xbox is the source of all problems for PC gaming, since microsoft went into consoles, they started hindering DirectX to keep the pace with consoles.
xbox released 2001, directx9 2002
xbox 360 released 2005, directx10 2006 , with vista's flop they had to take directx hostage for ppl to get their new OS so they made directx11
then comes Xbone, and i swear if AMD didnt gather Devs around Mantle, DirectX12 wouldn't have seen the light of day this soon, but it just happened, that they needed new hostage for their new OS after the failure of win8.
i wish xbox fail in a monumental fashion, that it pushes microsoft out of the consoles, then and maybe then they might give a crap about PC gaming.

i dont think microsoft has much to do with it at all
sure they dragged their feet but there isnt much excuse now
game companies still put out barely playable rubbish

optimizing seems so way down on their list
they know ppl will still buy it

There is tons of hardware between minimum and recommended specs, so everyone should be able to find optimal settings for good experience for their own hardware.

Gameplay footage does show this game to have pretty nice graphics, but not nice enough to have the most powerful single GPU cards as part of the recommended specs imo. Hopefully that's for 60fps at 1440p rather than 1080.

If it's only available through the Windows store they can kiss my baby soft skin. I hate having so many providers, I try to keep to just Steam but am forced to use U-play and Origin for some titles, I'm not adding another.

you can add non steam games to the libary?
I do this and also have a shortcut link to all no steam games on my taskbar for quick launch.

As soon as it was announced that the Windows 10 version came free with the Xbox One version it was an instant buy for me. Pre-ordered then and there on the Xbox Store. Oddly it still doesn't specify you get the Windows 10 version free on the store... hopefully that's just a store update error or something! I also hope you can swap between Xbox One and PC versions on the fly!

I believe you can just add it to your steam library and launch it from there... I don't believe the Xbox/MS store will be used for anything other than downloading the game. Might be wrong though.

You can do this, but it's not really the same as owning the game on Steam. If you ever want to redownload it in the future, it'll have to be done through the Windows Store. A lot of people (including me) like having all their games available and ready in one place should I ever want to play them years down the line. There are so many services and clients now that remembering where you bought something is turning into a game itself.

Not to mention the other perks of Steam, such as achievements, the forums, the Workshop and all that jazz that just isn't available for non-Steam games. It's just nice to have it all covered under one account, and one which means something to people like me who've had it for a decade or more.

Should have had the recommended card from AMD as the 390X, as its only a fannys hair slower than the FX, but its got more than the 6GB Vram thats recommended. :p

That gameplay Video was Xbone one graphics i think, anyhow im going to buy it for my Xbone and get the free windows copy which i might just give to me bro :)

you seem to misunderstand the offer, it's not 2 copies of the game, it's one copy you are able to play on both platform, guessing launching the game require windows store, on the same account, and 1 running at a time, otherwise there will be ton of ways to abuse it.
