Queen Elizabeth II has passed away - keep posts civil and respectful

I’m going to give queuing a miss. From the sounds of it you’d have to commit for double figures hours in a queue. I’d like to go, even queue for four or five hours but that’s probably unrealistic.

I'd love to go, but means a 2hr train journey and then a full days worth of queuing. Most likely need a hotel after that.

Still thinking about it though.

Is it possible to change my avatar back to what it was before? Nothing.

While I would never post something inflammatory to upset people (live and let live and all that), as an Irish Republican I'm pretty certain that a picture of the Queen is quite possibly the worst picture I'd ever use to identify myself.

Saw a little of the procession up the Royal Mile, a bitter irony that the only child of Queen Elizabeth who truly served in the armed forces was in a Morning Suit whilst his siblings wore their ceremonial uniforms. I assumed having achieved the rank of Captain Commander he would be entitled to where uniform despite having his ceremonial duties removed. Maybe it was a PR decision.

Edit: correction

Coincidentally we posted together from opposing views. Your health sir :)
