Quest 3 accessories thread

I found with the Quest Pro (which has an open interface by default) that MR games really benefit from on open interface as the peripheral vision blends the real world seamlessly into the MR and makes the FOV appear much larger. It also means your real arms blend into the MR vlew and makes it more immersive.

well as steam frame is off the table at the moment im thinking about getting the :
BOBOVR S3 Pro Head Strap
for wireless play
and a better head strap experience
If you get one let us know how you get on with it
I'm currently using a kiwi elite battery head strap but find the battery is running out after 45mins and it's not super comfortable

I was thinking about one of those as well, just for the fan...
i've order today for weekend delivery
have also order some grips
and will re-order lenses as well - i used HONs before but not sure if people have a better suggestion at the moment.

i thought about getting some : VITURE Luma Ultra
for media consumption which is one of the use cases for the quest 3.
and trying them on the train & for work laptop usage

with the USB-C cable usage and head strap it might add more usability for the quest 3 & me as ive noticed the stock strap it now bothering me a lot more :/

and the Fan and bigger battery are the main reasons i chose this over the M3

will try and write something up for ya guys, it should arrive saturday.

i thought some of you were already using it tbh.

only down side is no laying down watching stuff with the S3 so may get a bean bag or something to prop my self up.

will see how easy it is to add a dedicated usb-c cable as well i.e. swap between the wireless and wired exprience.

i warn you now if the battery doesnt come fully charged im going to be mad and give it a 1 star rating ;) :p

Just bought the globular cluster light blocker interface. Not that interested in the light blocker, though I'll try it, however it comes with the magnetic base as well, which means my boy can now use the other facial interfaces that are currently sat in the box from my original kit. £18 from the forest, but got it off an auction site for £15. Hope he likes them. Great way to make a single globular cluster kit go further if you have 2 headsets in the household.

I've got the light blocker, it's pretty decent. Though I've now switched to the Meta open interface as my wife prefers being able to see her surroundings while playing.

My Kiwi batter gave up after 30mins this afternoon, its over 2yrs old so think its on its way out.

Im going to order the new bobovr M3 Pro+
A smaller battery and no fan but its supposed to be more comfortable and only £59

i did consider that also (M3), but for me the battery in my quest 3 isnt healthy any more, and i'm going to be looking to play something like "No Mans sky" / "Tea for God" / "VRChat" with something like the "Freeaim VR Shoes"
and use them as a good way to get up and move.

No Mans Skys ive spent hours in wondering around collecting and exploring as example on "foot" and i dont see it changing to much with access to the other vehicles. so i usually end up being long play sessions on weekends. and i have plenty more walking to do for derelict runs / settlements and other things + what ever new content they release for 10th anniversary.
the bigger battery will just last that bit longer.
comfort most people seem to think its good, and seems to be more personal preference betweeen the m3 and s3 with the weight being the main factor.

Just a quick update, received the new M3 Pro+, it looks a massive improvement over the standard M3 Pro.
Very comfortable, lots of adjustments. Battery is currently charging and its abit too warm for VR today but ill put it through its paces tomorrow.

Which is exactly the reason I'm looking at the one with the fan...
I mainly use my VR for sim racing and ive got a 2x windsim fans blowing in my face when racing so these keep me cool :)
Ive just tested the headstrap though for an hour and its superb. Fits my head/face very well and is super comfortable compared to the kiwi elite strap. I cant really tell im wearing it. The battery has lasted much longer.
I think it all depends on 1) Do you need a fan, 2) Do you need a bigger battery (although you can hot swap batteries)
Also comfort, depending on your head/face then the M3 Pro+ maybe more comfortable than the S3 but again its user dependant. For just over £50 im very impressed with the M3 Pro+

I've got the KKCOBVR headstrap at the mo, the battery is heavy, so counters the weight of the headset well, its the fan I'm more interested in, although I could just get a desk tower fan for cheaper, but, shiney things are shiny...

Anyone used VortexVR before?
They have the Bobo s3 pro with battery in for like £70, cheaper than direct from BOBOVR or Amazon...
