Quest 3 accessories thread

Anyone on here actually used them though, trustpikot reviews are a bit thin, only 3 from the last 12 months...

Well, S3 Pro Headstrap and spare battery turned up today.
The headstrap comes with a battery anyway, but I picked up another one from them for those long sessions, £116 delivered, cant complain at that...

The headset itself is certainly lighter than my old KKCOBVR one and more comfortable, be nice if the fan was quieter though, although I only had it on for about 10 minutes and with no audio, so not sure how intrusive it would be when actually playing..

This does now of course mean I might end up looking at more facial interfaces....

There is one for sale near me at a fantastic price. On the fence about buying it as I am perfectly happy with what I have and haven't had much luck with Halo Straps before. Let me know what you think after you had a decent run with it. Would you try a fast moving game too and see if the loose feeling annoys you or not.

I've got the new M3 Pro + and I've tried it with fast moving games and it's solid on my head
The advantage with the M3 pro+ is that it's a hybrid strap which can be used as a standard halo or an elite strap
Tightening the strap at the rear makes it into the elite strap and makes it sit firm on your face

I have ordered one of these head straps plus battery, wasn't much choice in stock at Amazon...
Well I realised why Amazon were showing most head straps with a battery as "currently unavailable". It was because of shipping the included battery to my location i.e. Jersey.

So I cancelled the Amazon order and ordered the BOBOVR S3 Pro Head strap with battery from Vortex Virtual Reality for £70.74 including RM Tracked 48 and had it sent to my Ship2me address in Portsmouth.

Ship2me is a company run by Jersey Post who deliver the "undeliverable." They have a hub in Portsmouth that you have your goods sent to and then you pay to have them shipped to Jersey.

My item was a small box and it cost £9.95 for delivery from Portsmouth to Jersey. Upon arrival in Jersey I had to pay a further 5% GST on top so it came to £84.72 in total.

Received it today and immediately checked it was a genuine product on this site...

There is a scratch off code on the box which you enter on the above site and it tells you if its genuine. It was so no complaints there. On Amazon the BOBOVR S3 Pro head strap and battery is priced at £93 inc 20% VAT sold by BOBOVR themselves.

If I was able to order one from Amazon it would have cost £81.38 which is less 20% VAT + 5% GST. So I only paid £3.34 extra. Overall very pleased with the service from Vortex Virtual Reality and it didn't take long to arrive in Portsmouth from Poland.

What facial interface are you planning on using?
I bought loads to find one I liked when I first got my Q3, switch between the AMVR one and the open one, but now I have the S3 headstrap the fan does very little with those so thinking of getting the F3, which is the one designed for the S3...

I just use the standard Quest 3 facial interface. Tried the battery out today, played for two hours and the BOBOVR B100 battery went down to around 50% with the Quest 3 main battery still fully charged.

Pretty pleased with that, the headset I was looking at initially from Amazon only lasts for about 1.5 hours in total so the BOBOVR S3 Pro was worth the extra money.

Used up the remaining charge today and got a further 1hr 50 mins runtime. I like the way it beeps when it gets down to 5% and then beeps again when it’s flat and switches off allowing the built in headset battery to take over.

Charged it from flat to fully charged in 3hr 10 mins on my Apple 20W charger. Tempted to get one of those F3 facial interfaces you mention to try out.

I call BS, nobody can use the stock facial interface for more than 2 minutes. ;)

when i read things like this it makes me tempted to try a bobo headstrap + battery, because i am just having zero luck with KKCOBVR batteries with their headstrap. My 4th(!) battery from them now only lasts about 20 mins, i love their headstrap but the batteries always dying on me is a PITA. Edit : i caved and and bought a Bobo S3 from Vortex.

Yeha Vortex seemed like it might be too good to be true price wise, but thats what CC's are for right, all was well in the end..
