Quest 3 accessories thread

This Bobo has also shown me that using passthrough all the time eats these smaller capacity batteries, just like with the KKCOBVR, which was the main reason i replaced it :(
Shame it didn't work out for you, for normal VR usage it lasts close to four hours without the fan on.

Bought one of these, too early to say whether its better than standard facial interface and I haven't tried it with the fan on. Its ok I guess. Not sure what I was expecting. I'm sure I'll get used to it once I've used it a bit more.

It has wheels on the side to allow you to adjust the eye to lens distance. ;)

(Watch me do a massive image posting attempt failure here)

i bought this, no real reason apart from curiosity to see what its like. Oh, thats cool, this forum software allows image uploads now, i recall at 1 time we could only add images by linking to them etc (i could be wrong).

Its the proper bobovr one for use with the S3, so I should expect it works well..
I've got one in my Amazon basket for my next purchase..

IMHO, a sticky sheet of fireants would be more comfortable than the standard interface. That thing was awful.

I'm just trying to imagine you discovering a stearing wheel after a few driving lessons. ;)
When I turned the headset off last evening, it went into this strange recovery mode. No idea how I got it in this mode, and couldn't figure out how to get out of it. Looked around the headset and noticed the buttons on the bottom of the headset which switched it off. Never noticed them before, I never really had a good look all around the headset.

There should be an OcUk facepalm emoji. ;)

@drakulton interesting that meta's involved, afaik these types of devices never worked on any standalone games which this having meta involvement solves that. as melmac has said its way too expensive for most of us but still good to see, hopefully this opens the door to things like this working with standalone stuff. alternatively i don't know why more games/apps dont integrate walking on the spot in real life translating to in game movement, i did it with my app and it was easy, there's literally a unity asset that does it with a bit of tweaking for about £10.

Just checked the Euro Price. €3000 and it costs €536 to ship. I am not sure that's solving a problem for the bulk of Quest 3 owners!!

It looks as awkward as hell too. He looks like a horse pulling a cart :p

For €3000 it would want to be perfect.

Yes, a lot of the comments say he's using it incorrectly, so he's probably not the best ambassador for the product. There are other youtoobers who've been using similar items long term and make it look a lot more natural.

Hopefully meta's involvement may also encourage other designs that are cheaper and have a more realistic feel.
