Question about External HDD

Sup Everyone

I want to invest into a 2TB hdd that i can put movies on.
Is it possible to watch movies from the HDD on the tv? Does the TV have to have a USB port? If the tv doesnt have a USB is there some sort of converter to watch on a normal TV?

Converter? Not strictly, atleast not that Im aware of.

You could buy something like a WDTV that will play from an external HDD just nicely. Will also do HD content.

As for a TV with USB. I know LG do a nice one. But last I saw, the codecs werent up to scratch and audio wasnt always working.

A WDTV sounds right your alley mate, the firmware gets updated, and your buying a product from Western Digital.
