Question For ALL members

50 hours minimum for work a week, usually around 60, then personally I might spend a few hours each night on the laptop, and 5 a day at the weekend, so around 75-85 hours a week.

Married as well :)

Me and my wife were discussing roughly how many hours I spend on the PC each week.
I said roughly 70 hours a week at a computer and she said thats quite bad, so I said that most people on the OCuK site probably spend more time on it that me, so she told me to prove it, so I am lol.

Here's the question...

Need to settle the arguement that my 70 arn't that bad compared to others lol.

Thanks guys...

Edit: On A PC In General....and A rough number is needed please :)

If that's 70 hours on the PC out of the office then hell yeah thats allot, it must be strange married to someone that spends most of thier waking day just sat in the corner staring at a computer with thier back turned to them, must feel a little disheartening for her, remember she's married the man of her dreams, do you mix ever mix it up a little ?, surprise her romantically from time to time, and not just when the calender says so.

when I come in from school I usually turn it on then do some work while its on and I watch some tv on the computer later on, so tv etc included about 40-50

70 Seems quite high..

I work with PC pretty much for 40 hours a week, then say 7 hours on top of that for leisure over the course of the week. So around 50 hours. ekk!

7 at work each day bar weekends and then about 3-4 each night depending on what game im playing or if im on my consoles instead.

so about 70 ish a week

i work in IT so i cant help it - i have a g/f and a daughter who i make sure i dont neglect
[otherwise the nagging starts and nobody wants that - trust me]

the way to get round it is to drop what you are doing if you are needed then return to your desk after - that way you are not seen to be ignorant
the computer will always wait for you even if people wont

Work 38 hours a week and about 6 or so over the course of the week while at home. to be honest I'd like to get back to attending a couple of raids a week in WoW but until we get our cellar converstion finished the PCs are in the spare room and it's a bit unfair leaving the MRS downstairs on her own with the dog all evening.

37.5 Hrs a week at work, maybe a few hours at the weekend so nowehere near your 70 hours a week!

168 Hours in a week. If you sleep an average 8 hours a night (56 hours a week) that leaves 110 hours to 'do stuff'. If you're spending 70 hours a week at your PC that only leaves you 40 hours of your week to actually do anything constructive :)

It depends really on what I'm doing from week to week. If I have lots of uni work on then I could be at the computer practically all day. Most of the time though i'm only really on it 2-3 hours a day so that's about 20 hours or so each week doing a mixture of work and general use which I don't think is too bad.

I work in IT, so I spend 40 hours a week on the PC doing my job. During my owntime I would say another 20 hours on my home PC, so in total 60 hours. I don't have kids, but I do have a girlfriend I live with, which is as good as married.

I spend about 40 hours a week on the PC at work, and maybe around 15 hours on the PC/360 at home which gives a total of 55 hours a week. The "play time" at home is usually monitored by the "wife to be" :).

Monday to Friday 7.5hrs @ work, 4 hours of an evening (averaged).
Sat/Sun about 6 hours I imagine, probably more though.
Total of about 70 hours, but thats a pessimistic estimate, it's probably a bit more.

I live with my gf, she doesnt consider it a problem, and neither do I. I still find plenty of time to spend outside or doing other things.

between 70 - 80 hours a week id say

1 week = 168 hours ....... that is quite a lot really just never really thought of it

no wife or kids but a long term girlfriend
