Question for convertible drivers

I just get a nice tan. No hat required! After years of driving convertibles your face just gets used to being in a state of burnt/not burnt.

so how many base-ball caps do you loose a year, if the air stream catches the brow ?

was going to suggest Lawrence of Arabia head-gear apparently called a Keffiyeh plus the rope band Agal

On a slight tangent ive also got a question for convertible drivers, why would you ever want to drive a diesel convertible i just dont see the point?

Dunno, there's no such thing as a sporty diesel. So I wouldn't have one :p

Maybe people who think they want a sports car, but actually want an ecobox. So end up with a rep mobile with no roof.

Baseball cap here. My personal suggestion is it has to be anything with a peak. Even with sunglasses on I find the dazzling effect that comes through the top of the sunglasses is only solved by a peak baseball cap.

I'm telling myself I look cool in my Blue MX5 wearing my green hat pushing 30. If I say it enough times it must come true right?

Not really an issue as any wind in the cabin of a convertible comes from behind your head.

No idea. I'm thinking of upgrading my free Shell V-Power Diesel cap to an MX5 Owners Club one this year just to finally sign off on my youth as I teeter over the mid thirties brink.

Perhaps i have thick hair, but i have honestly never noticed this issue despite having convertibles for years.

Grow more hair seems to be the answer

Never had the need to wear headgear when I had one. Maybe having hair excludes me from any sunburn issues. I've always found the sight of grown men in baseball caps rather chavy anyway.

I have a decent mop of hair but cut very, short the wind blowing it about exposes my scalp. Maybe growing it a bit would provide more cover.

Why would engine type make a difference for causing with the top down and enjoying the weather?
