Question for football fans

I keep meaning to go and watch Hinckley play, but I always forget so I've never been. Their stadium is only down the road from me so no excuse really apart from cba.
They could use your money at the moment Wossi and from what I've seen the new ground looks pretty nice and it has the added bonus of the nutter that used to support them has been locked up for double murder!

I don't go and see my local team because the missus already has to put up with my going to every single QPR home match and some away ones and it's nice to spend some time with her every now and again as well. She has no interest in football so going with her to see Burnham or Slough Town when I'm not at QPR isn't an option.

Don't have a clue, and i dont usually plan my weekend so things usually get changed at the last minute so i wouldn't want to plan my weekend around a football match when i have no idea of who the players are or what "League" they play in.

I'm not sure which is closer to me, either Hucknall Town, Dunkirk, Arnold Town or Ilkeston Town.

I don't go as I'm a Forest fan but mainly because I play to a decent standard on a Saturday but I'd tend to agree with if you take a genuine interest in football you'd usually be playing / coaching / managing on a weekend OR you'd be taking your son (or daughter!) to training or a match.

Sheffield FC and I don't go because watching non league football is like going to a strip club where you know the girls are real fat and real ugly. I'm a Southampton fan so poping down on a Saturday isn't an option and I don't play because I don't like being kicked about by guys who are still drunk from the night before that still think the two footed jump in slide is a fair tackle.

I hold a season ticket at Sheffield Wednesday, and travel to all the home games, some away from my home in Leicester.

I play football mid week / weekend if I'm not at the football, I spend most of my spare time reading/watching football.

Play on a saturday afternoon then rather than a sunday morning.

Very different animals.

I get to as many Hartlepool United games as I can, tend to have a lot to do on a Saturday and it costs a fortune, money I don't currently have. Non-league would be Hartlepool Town and I don't watch them because I'd rather spend my money watching Pools.

I go to matches at Arsenal in the Premiership, Southampton in the football league and Salisbury City in the non-league (although the latter not for a couple of years, they are charging £12 now which is taking the mick).

I moved house a couple of months ago, and don't even know where the ground is for my new local non-league side. I doubt it would hold much interest for me as the standard is likely very poor compared to the above. There, I've broken your rule :p

I play football myself instead!!

I used to go and watch Leyton Orient every other week with my Dad. That was awesome. I still remember the day we beat Doncaster 8-0. At that time The O's had been rated as having the worst food out of the 92 league clubs. The hot chocolate was basically hot brown water and I always bought a Mars Bar to plonk in there as well to actually give it some flavour.

Anyway, nearest team now is probably Brighton. Don't go because I play football myself as I said.

Religiously watched my local team home and away all throughout my teens (Ballymena United. Irish Premier League, but still very much part-time and barely a step-up from English non-league standard tbh). Moved away due to work, and my new local team were our greatest rivals, so I wasn't going to go and support them every week.

Moved back near home at Xmas, but I'm working every Saturday afternoon. I'll have to try to get to some mid-week games before the season ends.

My local team are Leigh Genesis, and I have been to see them play, and tbh, the standard of football wasn't very entertaining to watch as a neutral, and I don't feel any passion for them as a club.

I don't play either, mainly because I'm **** :D

No idea who my local pub league/Sunday league/Amateur team are because I'm not from here originally, therefore have no "loyalty" to the village and would not know any of the players.
Where I used to live it was Bryn Rovers and I used to watch quite often.

We used to play football after work but never managed consistent attendance because everyone knocks off at different times and people used to moan it was too far to go home then come back again for footy.

theres no chance of me suporting any team other than united, 99% of my fammily suports united, i was brought up on united, and i mean i physicaly coudnt get attracted to any other team, ive never ever been to a single united game either, still i watch them and follow them as a religion, ***** me off when people say im not a proper fan just because ive never been to see a game, actualy offends me.

my local team is chester, i follow them now and again, my uncle has a season ticket with them, but i couldnt suport them, i just couldnt see myself ever celebrating a goal thats nothing to do with united, its physicaly impossible, and now youve made me talk for ever so now im going to stop.

:o

I try to go down to see Gravesend and Northfleet (called Ebbsfleet now) as often as I can...I've only been in the UK for 4 1/2 years, but I fell in love with local football. My main team is Middlesbrough, though (even though I live in Kent.)
