As a parent – Do you ever think or worry about..... that you are responsible to bring up your kids to be ‘good’ people – So that they can have a good life.

…and that the way you are or act – Could affect that…

Isn't this pretty much the actual job description of being a parent?

Your question seems a little nonsensical to me.

Combo breaker...

Theres a lot more to it than that, morales are the start then passing on wisdom etc.

Yep I see that as my responsibility - I do not agree with any other authority having to invest significant amounts of time and money to do this on my behalf.

Schools for example - yes there is an element of mentoring children (always has been) but they should be able to focus on teaching, not child care.

Cheers,

Nigel

Yup.
I spend a huge amount of time with my daughter teaching her about the world. I also don't belive in "dumbing down" just for her ears. If she asks me how something works, or why something is how it is. She gets the full version. Not edited for children.
A few days ago she asked me how the moon stayed in the sky. An explanation of gavitation and orbits followed. She's 5 and understood very little. Hopefully she understood enough though to ask more questions in future.

It is not a schools job to teach children how to behave, or even to teach a child how to learn. That is the role of the parent.

I like this qute by a famous physicist (I can't remember which one)
When we're a child, we ask lots of questions like: Why is the sky blue? Why is the grass green? And why when I suck on a straw does lemonade go in to my mouth?
Then they grow older and go to school. In school they are taught not to ask questions. To accept the knowledge that they are taught.
Children then go on to become bankers, politicians, cleaners, salesmen etc.
Some children keep the faith, and continue to ask questions for the rest of their lives.
These children become scientists, artists, musicians and philosophers.

Err, why would you ask a question like that? Are you expecting anyone to say no?
