Question for parents.....

Tell you what, when i have kids ill teach one of them the morals of a good life, and teach the other one to burgle and rape. Then ill give you a shout when theyre 18 and let you know how they progressed as people.

I would be miffed if any parent was under the belief that they werent responsible for their childs development into being a decent person

Bit of a crazy question.

Of course you are, you just need to look at the world around you.

Most decent people you know will have kids who are also decent people.

In the other sense any scum you know, well the kids seem to turn out the same.

I had a class of 36 kids today teaching them Equality & Diversity.
One young girl (age 14) was so homophobic & racist I thought she was Nick Griffin's daughter.
My colleague is black and this young girl actually told her that she should go back but did get confused when I told her that she was born in this country.
She also said that she would never work with gay people and everybody in her family had shunned her gay Uncle.
How the hell do I get her to think differently?

Convince her shes a lesbian? Ideals usually go out the window when they become the subject of their hatred/misunderstanding

I would guess that most of the people who have answered this question with the same copied answer don't have children. It is true that at some stage of being a responsible parent, that this realisation sudddenly dawns on you. There you are with these innocent, trusting little people and you suddenly realise that you are responsible for their future behaviour, morals, beliefs and outlook on life.

As a responsible parent, we can only try to give our children firm foundations upon which they will build their own edifice to their own design.

I have always felt it odd that all the important things in life, I've had to take an exam, pass a test or qualify for. Apart from the most important thing in life, bringing a child into the world, which any eejit can do, with no qualifications whatsoever.
