Question re surgery

Besides, when it's too late, you can't go private as they won't cover pre-existing conditions.

You're thinking of insurance, you can go private and pay upfront whenever you like.

Yeah it's all well and good until it goes wrong and they sling you in an ambulance and bus you to the nearest NHS hospital.

Private health services often use NHS hospitals.

man

kacking myself at the moment, they want me in for 7:15am!!!!

wish me some luck lol and if i dont post, you know the rest...

Had mine Done last December. In the immediate aftermath I was really sore, but two weeks later I wouldn't have thought I'd had an op at all. As an aside, I can't remember the last time I had indigestion either.

Paying upfront is extremely expensive though, I get free cover through my company and although there's a couple of bits they won't cover me for overall I can get anything. Excess isn't too bad either, £100 iirc.

For example, Cigna charge £765 purely for Consultants and Anaethesist fees for a laparoscopic cholecystectom. That's excluding the other costs of your care, pre-op/post-op and hospital fees.
