Question.

- 1 x 20+4-pin ATX Mobo connecter
- 1 x 4+4-pin ESP/12V CPU
- 2 x 6+2-pin PCI-E Graphics
- 6 x 4-pin Peripheral Molex
- 6 x 5-pin SATA Hdd, ssd, dvd (2 cables with 3 connecters on each)
- 1 x Floppy

Just plugged it all in and got nothing through the monitor, also I didn't get any post beep, I have no idea where to plug in the little internal speaker I have, thought I had it in the right place. The manual is just gobble de gook to me and makes no sense. ALso I have no clue how to plug in the usb ports with all these tiny fiddly plugs.

Any ideas?

CPU and GPU fans seemed to be spinning fine.

Connect it to the mobo. You will need to update the Bios. There seems to be a problem with the Gpu on some of these boards. But the update should fix it.

still nothing, i reckon i dont have something plugged in but i'd never know what..

i have these little tiny connectors with '2+d' and '2-d' '1+5v' and '1 ground' i swear they were plugged in before

Make sure everything is connected properly? Some things can take a bit of pressure to seat correctly in the mobo, RAM being the standout for me (don't go crazy obviously).

The internal system speaker plugs into the 4 pins on the top right of the I/O header (where the power button etc connect). USB connections are: USB3.0 - dark blue, next to the big 20/24 pin ATX connection on tthe mobo. USB2.0 - the three light blue connections along the bottom of the mobo (if you look carefully, they're all labelled in small writing).

Go to page 21 in your manual and go through the list for Internal Connectors. It shows you exactly where everything goes. Even shows you where your chassis speaker goes.

Clueless what to do now, made sure everything is plugged in, I'm going my eye here, reading the manual is no use to me, it's like another language to me.

Anyone in newcastle wanna make 30 quid? lol

If you're getting frustrated, maybe take an hour away.

When you get back, make sure everything is seated correctly in the mobo by giving it a firm push (but no more). Forget about the USB and speaker connections for now, as you don't need them to boot the system.

But the thing is I can't actually see if it posts as nothings coming through my monitor either, I've tried plugging it into GPU and Mobo, my CPU fan is working and my GPU fans, although I don't know if the cpu is working (How can you tell visually or audibly?)

Have you put the ram in?

Yes, tbh i'm sitting here crapping myself, I don't want to touch it anymore in case I do damage, knew I shouldn't of tried this...I've looked at video after video, even ones with similar spec, I'm 95% sure I've done everything right. It just won't beep or bring anything on the monitor.

If the mobo was fried would the cpu/gpu fans be coming on? Also the LED's in my RAM are coming on, the cpu (3570k) fan makes a roar a couple of seconds after hitting the on button and then immediately slows down and continues spinning.

Are you using DVI-VGA or HDMI to connect the monitor. And the monitor is turned on,yes.

DVI-VGA, I think. is it possible to just have VGA?

BTW, the atx mobo I fitted is pretty close to the edges, is this normal? I have a regular tower case, maybe it's just because I'm used to all the room mATX mobos leave?

If your monitor only has a VGA port, use the DVI-VGA adaptor that came with the Gpu. If it has HDMI, then use that. As long as you are using one or the other, it should work.
Make sure the ram is in the second and forth slot, slot 1 being closest to the Cpu. Make sure when they were seated that the levers clicked back into place, in other words, they are upright.
Check to make sure all connectors are properly seated. Then, turn on the monitor and computor.

I've given up, havin a spliff to calm my nerves down. I know it's something simple I'm not doing right but I just really don't feel confident enough to continue, no saying what damage I'll do.
