Hello
I'm thinking of upgrading to a GTX480 and use my current GTX8800 as a PhysX card. But I have two questions I hope someone here knows the answer to.
1. I've read that in windows vista you would have to have two monitors or a "dummy plug" hooked up to the graphic card to be used as the physx card in order for windows to activate it. Is this still true for Windows 7 (64)?
2. I've also heard that if your "physx" card is not good enough it might have a negative impact on the overall performance of the whole system. If this is true would it be a wrong to use the GTX8800 for physx?
My current system:
Win7 64, Q9450 2.66, Asus Maximus Extreme, 4GB DDR3, GTX8800, 850w Coolermaster PSU, Coolermaster Cosmos S case.
