Hey guys, just a quick question, with a 8800GTX at stock settings paired with a Q6600 @ 3.7ghz what sort of scores am i looking at in 3dMark06 for stock clocks on the GTX?

Thanks in Advance!

What about your RAM??
That will make a difference as well.

My E6750 and GTX with 2Gb Reaper@1066 all at stock get about 15200

Sorry running XP, Got 2 gig or Corsair 6400 C5 stuff, and 1 8800GTX at stock settings, Corsair 620W Power Supply

Ran it this morning and at first i got "resolution not supported" on my screen so had to set on control panel to use nvidia aspect ratio control, now can get 3Dmark 06 to run, but finishes it all and i got something like 9600, now im guessing thats quite low lol, cant remember what i overclocked it to but it was by quite a lot something like 630core dont remember the memory and even then it only just hit 10050.

**EDIT**

Ah just remembered, ive had to put my 8800gtx on the bottom PCIE slow on my Asus P5k Premium board as if i put it at the top it wont fit with the damn placement of the SATA ports :/ i tried looking in bios for any PCIE settings but could not see any assuming that it would work fine in bottom slot?

AAARRHH!

The bottom slot is no good at all.
Try and get a slim right-angle SATA plug and see if it fits the top slot then.

There is no point in having a nice card running in the bottom slot.
You may as well have bought an 8600GT for £75 and got a better score.

:o Seriously? i remember on my old A8N32 i could switch which slot was the primary and never had any performance loss :/

Damn going to have to do some messing about tonite, Cheers dude it it fixes it Life saver :D

The black slot on all P5K boards is only 4x and cant be chaged.
Also I'd advise using the black RAM slots as well as these seem to be more stable on most Asus boards.

How many drives do you have on SATA?
Could you not just use another socket?

How on earth do you score 15200 on that spec?

That may be my OC score actually.
Sorry to confuse the matter. Not used 3DMark since I got my GTX a while back.

Not at home at moment (In work :( )
Will check in couple of hrs and re post score at stock speeds.

Even with an overclock, 15k is a massive score for a dual core cpu and single GTX.

Cheers mate will try the black slots aswell for ram :p umm ive got 4 HD's but one will be going soon but dont really help the matter as the ones in the way are the ones raided in the red slots :/ also got a SATA DVDRW so that dont help matters lol.

WOOT Ty for help :D

Stock GTX run, score of 14194

Only problem is the 90 degree Sata cables i got the turn over the other way and cover the other side lol :/ so going to need some ones the other way or adjustable 90 degree cable ones.

Woot got a score of 15611
Core to 650
Memory to 2020

Well done :D. A monumental jump from an overclocked score of 10050.

Lool yea Just abit, also my COD4 Demo Framerate has skyrocketed from the 20ish i was getting before on full :o
Strangely, moving slots has done nothing to my framerate of crysis demo on full graphics and full AA set lol :/

Nice one. Crysis is a weird one though?. Doesn't matter though as Gears of War, CoD4 and Timeshift are out now. A perfect way to pass the time whilst Crytek work their butts off getting Crysis to run smoother.

Nice one!
Glad it worked out OK.
Now you just have to sort out those annoying SATA ports.

You could get a PCI-E SATA controller card.
It will cost about £100 but your SATA sockets will be easy to use.
It will give you 4xSATA ports on the card so you just have your DVD on the motherboard and the HDD's on the card.
