Quick Dragon Age Origins question

After deciding to give this another go as a warrior instead of a mage, I was wondering the following question having started to 'get into it' a bit more.

How can you turn off the emotes when you issue commands, or at least make them less frequent?

If I hear 'Can I get you a ladder so you can get off my back?' one more time, I think i'm going to headbutt my keyboard to see if I get any results from it that way.

Playing this game as a non mage main character = bad :p

The party joinable fighters / rogues are completely fine. I always have two mages in my group, and I have the respec mod to make Wynne + Morrigan much more useful (I configure them to complement my mage for different things - Morrigan as nuker, Wynne as full support, and my Mage is CC specced).

I just started a new game yesterday :)

*wonders how either of the above posts were related in any way to the OPs question*

Try searching the Bioware 'Projects' section on there social network site thingymajigy or just searching google. Chances are you aren't the only 1 who wanted to turn off that sort of thing. Alternatively you might have to just remove/replace/rename or whatever to the soundbite files, though don't quote me on that one...

I enjoyed this game up until the Mage Tower part, god what a game killer, but i understand where the OP is coming from, i got sick of those emotes the first time, until i got bored as a Mage and chose to be a Dwarf Rogue and chose the posh sort of emote, which was used much less often than the cocky option.

That bit is easy.

I found the Mage Tower to be easier if you visit at a lower level - if you go there last, you'll find it can be a real knacker.

As for the OP's issue, I have no solution, I'm afraid. I am pretty sure I did faceplant my desk a few times in exasperation at the repetitive comments. However, I now have a desire to go play DAO :D

In my strategy guide, its advised to do Mage Tower first to get Wynne and the Power ups in the fade.

I really lke that part. And also ....

Enchantment? Enchantment!

As far as I remember that emote was said by Morrigan, so I gave him a solution to the Morrigan problem :p

It's said by the character you create, if you choose the 'violent' voice. I'll have a search in a bit for some solution if there is one. Thanks for the responses, even if they were completely unrelated or off the mark ;)

My bad then, sounded like something she would say tho. Still - get the slap Morrigan mod if only to give that hag what she's due ;)

I've got a question about Dragon Age:

The 1st place I went to was Redliffe, and by the time I finished the 1st part I was lvl 8. and following the storyline I've had to go to the Mages Tower.

I'm a mage and would like to specialise as an Arcane Warrior but I understand you have to visit a trainer and the trainer I need is in the Elf area which is a fair old way away.

Is is worth leaving the tower before finishing it and going and doing the specialist questline or would it help the stories continuity by seeing thie tower part through?

Er, once you're inside the Mages Tower you can't get out till you've finished. I've never understood why people want to do the AW so much, aside from the fact its completely broken. And its no harder to go to the forest than it would be to do anything else really so... whats stopping you? The Mages Tower just has the obvious benefit of the fade and lots of free attribute points. Oh and Wynne.

Ok looks like i'm stuck there then, no worries.

I liked the sound of them so I just fancied playing as one thats all.
