Had some trouble with a zero feedback buyer; they didn't pay. eBay have relisted the item free of charge, but I'm worried If I leave them negative feedback they will do the same. I've got 100% positive at the moment and I'll be damned if that's gonna go down because some cretin didn't pay.

What should I do?

Negative won't be counted against you if you've won a non-paying bidder dispute, which you must have done to relist for free.

The ebay forums / FAQ will have told you this.

From eBay...

Feedback and Unpaid Items

* If a buyer does not respond to an Unpaid Item notification and the seller closes the case with an Unpaid Item strike, the buyer can still leave a feedback comment about the transaction, but any feedback rating they leave will not appear and will not count toward the seller?s feedback score. An eBay administrative note will appear under the buyer?s feedback comment, explaining that the buyer did not participate in the Unpaid Item process.
* Unpaid Item strikes do not affect a user's feedback score or member profile.

Correct, but IIRC there is another condition too for a returned negative not to count.
If the non-payer did not reply to the NPB dispute via the dispute console, then a return neg won't count. However, if the non-payer did reply via the dispute console, then I believe their return neg will count.

I just left the negative feedback. Even if the bloke does leave a negative back, I will then be 99% as I've sold 100 items exactly :D

I'd say give them negative becuase if they give you negative for you not doing anything then ebay will withdraw there feedbck that they have gave you.

No, eBay will not remove the feedback.
They refuse to get involved unless the feedback is abusive or mentions any eBay investigation or action against another member.

I found this out after the guy I bought a PSP leaving me negative feedback by accident. So annoying, although he withdrew the feedback I still have the mark :/.

make your comments truthful at all times with as good an explanation as possible. this way decent ebayers will just look at your feedback comments rather your score, they will see you are a decent ebayer yourself.

I probably wouldn't have bothered leaving feedback, as it's likely a non-paying buyer with 0 feedback would just start a new account if they got a negative.

Don't mean to hijack your thread but how long do "item not as described" disputes take? Been waiting a week so far since I escalated the dispute.
