Just a mega quick question... I'm filling in a form for a visa and there's a question asking where my passport was issued. How would I find this out?

I know it was England but I'm not sure if this is accurate enough. The only thing I can see on my passport is: "Code of issuing state: GBR".

Any ideas?

Hmm, well i'm also applying for an Australian visa and they have the same field. On the Australian visa website it says to use the code under the 'authority' section in your passport. In my case this is UKPA, do you think I should use this in my other visa form, (for Thailand btw) or just put UK?

UKPA is just united kingdom passport authority. Put UKPA, Im sure they will know what it means! If you are in real doubt, ring the embassy or high comission

Its on your passport, it'll be either UKPA or IPA (iv had both) its jsut based on where your applying from, ie my old one was UKPA as it was done from MK (pre uni) n iv had to update it from up here in Belfast so its been re-issused by the other office thats denoted by IPS i think

Well I've successfully been accepted for my Australian working visa!!! :D Got a response immediately, very impressed with the whole process actually.

Thanks for your help guys:)
