broadband is cheap and fast i dont see the point in backing up steam games
Steam folder over 80GB and highly modded servers and config files... I see the point.

Wasn't aimed at me right? I am talking about a single game and didn't literally mean it was the time difference just that there was a considerable one.

Yeah. Right. I have a press account and even I havent downloaded 80gig of stuff that Iwanted to keep. The only way I can see that is if you keep all your games "just in case" or run a custom server with gajillion maps
So miller is lying too then?
I have lots of games. And yes, they are kept 'just in case' so that I can go 'hmm, i fancey playing this' and can then play it, rather than having to wait or it to download. It would be like having all your games on Cd, but keeping the CDs 100 miles away just because it means you dont have to have them on your shelf...
The main reason however is savegames and configs. They are always there.
Face it iBot, as usual, you are wrong.
And a lot of people have download limits...
He seems to be, cinematic mod is 2gig download :/

no it isnt? it's a 5gb download and decompresses to about 15gb. 20gb all together with all the hl2 files installed.
wrong again ibot.
