General silly question here, but I am trying to install my 2500K I5 into an Asrock Z368 Extreme4 Gen3 Mobo.
Now I have followed the instructions, taken the socket protector out, inserted the CPU etc, I then close the load plate, and try to push the leaver down, but it seems very stiff, makes a scraping noise and is marking the CPU where it makes contact.
Is this normal, do I just need to force it, or is there something I am doing wrong? I don't just want to push it down and end up crushing the CPU.
Thanks,
Jcb33.
