Quick Question - Step up?

I asked if he was going to do anything about the tax and he said no. What happens when they just say no?

I'm going to tax it today after work. I don't know what an ANPR camera is, but there were some average speed cameras on the M4 I think? There was also a police car behind me for about half a mile too :(

If I'm really unhappy with dropping £2600 on this car, at the very least I should be able to pass it on for about £3000 and make a few pence on it?

I thought it was cheap for what it is actually, which a couple of people here kind of agreed. What do you think about the cost?
Gonna get £250 for my old car. Better than a kick in the teeth!

Thank you. My mate said it's probably for the best to get the cambelt done anyway as you never know what the previous owners were like. He is probably trying to get a quick buck from me though!

No I know I can read, but the point still stands even if he still has the focus or not.. it bored him.. and I don't think a golf would fill the hole. But its up to him isn't it.
Heh, why are you talking about me in the third person :) I think it has filled the 'driving around town' hole. The engine seems much better but that's probably because I moved from 1.6 to 2.0 litres. The gear changing feels much smoother. I'm not quite sure if that's a Ford to Volkswagen thing, or if my old car was broken.

I think I'll just be using this as a stop-gap before I can afford to maintain and insure a nicer car. I'll probably spend more time when I spend more money on a car. This £3000 was just random crap sitting in my current account that would have been left over after I use up next year's ISA allowance.

As I say, I didn't actually look for this car. It just sort of popped up. Would probably have looked at Polos, Fiestas, Focuses and Mondeos around this price range if I was looking properly though. Dunno how good any of them would be for this price. All cheap cars are crap right?
