QUICK QUESTION!

OMFG YES YES YES!

The system is working the front fan has now got power and the tv is working just put the windows 7 disk in now and im good to go :p also can i plug in keyboard and mouse?

Also would you suggest installing the operating system first then sort out cable management and close up the case?

Yeah, you should be all set to go now. Install windows, plug the mouse and keyboard in.

It doesn't really matter what order you do the cable management, just get it done :)

Well looking through the motherboards manual loads of stuff for example; selecting the sata ports/cpu fan controller. Is there anyway I can select an option like "reccomended settings"?...

You can reset to default settings, but as far as I know, there is no such thing as recommended settings for a BIOS. If you're not experiencing any problems so far, then there probably isn't a reason for you to want to be in the BIOS.

Have you tried installing the OS yet?

Okay, well if you're browsing around in the BIOS, one thing to check are the temperatures. You will probably be able to find this under the 'health' section (probably worded differently for your motherboard), and look for the CPU Temps.

Okay, well im currently in installing windows 7 64 bit. I didnt have to do anything with the bios so thats ok. Or is it I need go into the bios after and play around with it or shall i just leave it.

And bloddy hell the machine is quite LOUD LOL! the fan is causing most of that sound supposed it'll quiet down (hopefully) once it settles down :P and has installed everything!

Nice to hear :) When Windows is installed, check to make sure every thing is stable, get a program such as RealTemp or Speedfan to check that the CPU temperatures aren't too high as well. If everything is stable, I can't see any reason for you to go in the BIOS. If of course you ever want to overclock your CPU, then you should go in to the BIOS and do it there.

As for the noise, the disk drive is probably causing quite a bit of noise, well mine does anyway ;)

P.S Don't forget to check that Windows has fully detected your 4GB of RAM.
To do this, go to:
Start --> Right click my computer --> Click properties, and look for where it says 'Installed RAM'

Do you have your fans plugged into your PSU or motherboard?

If you plug them into SYS_FAN sockets on the motherboard, the speeds will vary according to load. If they're plugged into the PSU, they'll run at maximum speed.

You could also get a fan controller if you wanted, so you have ultimate control over how fast they are spinning (and therefore how loud they are)

It says;

AMD A8-3850 APU WITH RADEON (TM) hd graphics 2.90GHZ
installed memory; 4gb (1.49 gb usable)
system type; 64 bit

what does the the 1.4gb usable mean?

theryre plugged into through the psu.

the noise has calmed down now and is bareable it's probualy because im not used to using a desktop as im always using a silly little notebook.

also maybe because the computer is a beast ;)?

Also the motherboard game with a disc shall i just install that before going on the web or anything? also anything else i should download before using the computer to protect it or what have you.

Well... that's not good.
Are you using on-board graphics?

Install the drivers from the motherboard's disc. Also, you may want to get an anti-virus. You may also want to invest in a surge protector to protect your PC, but you should be okay... it gives me some peace of mind though.

ill try one of them out thanks how do i know how if the the tempreture is a-okay?

What do you mean thats...not good :/ yeh i am

It should say something like "Installed Memory: 4GB", "Available Memory: 3.99GB" or at least something close to 4GB. 1.49GB is not good enough.

What does it say when you go to DXDiag and click 'Display', how much memory are your on-board graphics using?

Also, try installing this program to see where some of your memory is going (MemInfo):
http://majorgeeks.com/downloadget.php?id=5308&file=15&evp=27c30e5b869e61d0f2712c5d0117c0b0

To check temperatures, download this program (RealTemp):
http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1872d/RealTemp_360.zip

I don't think it's that you haven't installed the RAM correctly, I think it's to do with something else.

EDIT: CNET mirror is rubbish.
