Morning Gents - I have a Q6700 running at stock; if I want to overclock it can I just up the multiplier (as its an extreme chip - I know stupid waste of money); and if so will I have to change any voltages.

Is this the best way of overclocking it; or should I go down the path of uping FSB etc.

What RAM are you running. Upping the mulitplier instead of FSB is very useful if your RAM is a slower stock speed (ie 533MHz) and cant go much higher. In that case you can just increase the overall speed without overclocking the RAM.

If it is unlocked (and the Q6700's aren't, but the QX6700 was) then use the multiplier and fine-tune with the FSB.
