Hi,
As title really.

What are the downsides to it, as i cant see where QuidCo themselves make more than £5 a year off us...?

Thanks in advance all. :)

It takes AGES for the money to come through. I'm too impatient so I don't bother with it.

Also, I think Quidco get paid commission when people click through to the website and buy something.

Some merchants are quicker than others, some will do it in a few days and others a few months. At the end of the day, you are saving money (and making it) so it doesn't matter if it comes in a week, a month or 3 months down the line. It's a nice extra to have.
I can't see any downsides.

There are no downsides so long as you don't base your purchase on the amount they promise to give you back as there are often occasions where you'll end up getting nothing.

It took a year to get cashback from my wife's vodafone contract.

This.

You have to think that you wouldn't be getting the cash back anyway so makes no different how long it takes. You can only really use it if you spend LOTS, last year I saved up a little over £4 which by then a year had passed and the money all went to them.

Yip I just started up with topcash. My aunt told me about them. I really only use it with the bay purchases though. But if you where a regular user of the bay then the savings would mount up nicely seemingly she had built up a pretty penny over christmas. I just had a look in my acoount..£1.40=WINNING!!!

Been using topcashback for about a year now, maybe a little less. £110 drawn out for nothing but using there site to get to sites I'd buy from anyway = win

Had one issue with quidco where they wouldn't pay out unless I hassled them. They did eventually after 6 months. Was worth £100. Generally I find them good. I have earnt over £200 with them over the last 3 years mainly via mobile contract deals.

My biggest issue with Quidco is remembering to use it.

No complaints otherwise. Think I've made about 100 quid over the years.

That.

Plus they might offer better cashback on different sites, so it's worth comparing the two. :)

Agree. I have accounts with Quidco and Topcashback but so far have only used Topcashback as it has always had the same or better cashback rate for things I have purchased.

Some transactions haven't been tracked, but I have submitted claims for these and they were sorted relatively quick.

Also sometimes the merchants don't pay the cashback site on time, e.g. I'm still waiting for cashback which was due a couple of months ago. Can't really complain though as I don't buy things based on the cashback, it is an added bonus.

How do they make their money then?
