Day-to-day not a helava lot, but in loading of games, copying data to and from, etc quite a significant difference

In the interest of financial non-stupidity I decided to silentmaxx my existing HDD instead.
(I also couldn't be bothered with re-installing windows... AGAIN).

The silentmaxx is pretty decent, the loudest piece of hardware in my pc is now relegated below the fans

So thats nice

You also might have found that even though you loaded the map at superspeed it didn't actually help you since no one else was in the game yet to shoot at

Yes - but getting the jet first is sooooooo sweet!

Make sure you have windows and the games on 2 different physical drives, and a decent Raid (0 or 5) of Samsung spinpoints would be one possibility.

Personally I still think the I-Ram is the way forward - just need the 1Gig sticks to some down now!
