haha yep, I went looking for a coat at the weekend, loads of quilted garbage and body warmers, I don't want to look like some posho from Marlborough (swindoners will know what I mean) thanks.
Was even worse about a month ago - was looking for a decent winter coat to replace an old faithful one and the selection was dreadful - though looking again now the new autumn/winter lines have come in its not quite so bad.
End up with a plain black coat from Urban Classics but not sure if it will perform as well as my old one.

I'm getting pretty fed up with fashion in general at the moment. It's all horrific trendy crap.
Where is a man who just wants to be plain and smart supposed to shop these days without being ripped off?
Have a look in the retailers. They're still going strong.
Where have you been looking out of interest? I'm tempted to give up and just get a new waterproof from go-outdoors or something, but I actually would like a smart coat.

In the film the pursuit of happiness Will Smiths character is desperate to fix and sell his last medical device so he can feed his son, you can see the desperation in his face.
I imagine it was the same for the guy who was desperately trying to cobble this jacket together out of the old clothes he found at the bottom his his closet, just so he could eat.

Zara sell some pretty nice smart coats. They have the usual guff too, but less so than most places I find.
