It would be a boring place if they did.![]()
Posh person from Swindon? Why does the phrase "tallest midget" spring to mind?

quilted jackets are a fine example of the fashion industry driving down quality to boost profit margains even further. Not long ago a fashionable jacket would have been made from good quality wool, with a high standard of construction, often hand made. Now, you have two sheets of polyester and a sheet of cotton wool run through a giant sowing machine and then folded into a vague body like shape, being sold at places like barbour for hundreds of pounds.
Just get a nice puffer jacket instead. At least that will actually keep you warm and won't look stupid.

Diamond quilted jackets, they are so Morrison's staff Uniform.
yup
Attempt by city workers to go for a sort of country gent type look... they just look naff.
I can wear my barbour jacket with a suit or casually, that's not true of many coats.
Rather than me starting another thread, can anyone recommend a jacket for me? I'm struggling and need one for the weekend.
£45 or less.
Length down to the waist.
Black.
Warm but not too heavily padded. Don't want to feel like a mummy.
No heavily visible logos. Can't stand the Bench brand especially plastering their logo over arm, front, back etc.
I've looked at these 'quilted' coats and every man and his dog seem to have them. I don't even like them yet I nearly ordered a Kangol one earlier.![]()
