Somewhere in the middle.
After playing for 1.5years i decided to quit. Went back to occasional CS games, and less PC time.

Get yourselves away from the life draining game. When it all comes to an end you will realise, like i have now.. That you spend weeks playing for an item, to wear on an imaginary character.. Its actually quite sad when ya think about it.

Join a gym guys, get out the house more. But whatever you do, Dont let it drain ya life! :D

Just a bit of friendly advice :)

Im glad you have seen the light. Unfortunately I quit then went back to it. Someone help me please. :(

I'm sure the majority here don't appreciate being told how to live their lives, so take your 'friendly advice' somewhere else.

Im sure its only a minority who take it the way you have. So take your crap comments elsewhere.

Spoken like a true WoW addict.

That crossed my mind too. but have no evidence, other than the fact that Migsy seems to be a few sandwiches short of a picnic

well done, about time peope played some proper games! lol

pointing no fingers, but there are some people on this forum who need to lighten up a bit and take some things less seriously and see the funny side

Dont get me wrong, I enjoyed playing warcraft. But i would find myself spending hours just running back and forth, chilling out in orgrimmar etc. It really dawned on me that i was putting more interest into an online life than my own.

It leads to being unfit, unsociable and unpopular. I never let it harm me that much, but i can see the potential for people there.

Life is greener on the other side of warcraft folks. It seems fun now. But really... it has no benefit whatsoever, other than being a timesink.

I've just started playing. No way would it take over my life tho. I've managed a Football Manager addiction very well and I can do the same for this :)

sure you can.... haha :D

good luck dude, have fun. But be aware of the addictiveness.

One of my friends from a different forum made me laugh.. we were discussing addictiveness to games and he was the one to pipe up about "I'm not addicted to any game." only later to admit he has had several 12-20hour stints at WoW.. he face must have been a picture when he realised he is addicted. (My addiction at the time was CS.. now I'm addicted to making crap pictures because I bought a graphics tablet :D)

Nice friendly thread this one...innit!

I've never played WOW, but if comments like the one above are a byproduct, then I think I'll stick to Solitaire!!!!

LOL some people take a negative comment about a game personalily now? Bloody hell didnt realise people took this game THAT seriously..

Anyway, iv just sat at work for the past hour reading the instructions because i cant play untill i get my new debit card so i can sign up!!! Now THATS annoying!

Btw, I wanted to play with my bro and was thinking what 2 classes do you think work best together? I was thinking about a warrior and a druid or something? My bro likes attacking and i dont mind doing some magic etc.. I did look at the Rogue to start (as i used to play elf etc back in the day) but i dont think A warrior/rogue combo would be very good?

Any suggestions?

WoW is what you make it and now with the new honor system being implemented you don't need to raid to keep up with other peoples gear and you don't have to pvp 24/7 to get ranks as the honor you get don't decay and you buy items with honor and battleground marks. It's going to be more casual than ever for me, after starting again a few weeks back i've just been playing when i've wanted and logging of whenever a mate wants to go out.

I quit WoW just before i started back at uni, was just getting bored of the game so cancelled my subscription. I didnt have a level 60 char or anything. Mite see if i can flog the character get some money for it, had a few epic items for a lvl47.
