R.I.P Dog

Feel your pain leaving at 6:30 today to victoria hospital to put down our beloved ruby she developed pancreatitis and has to be put down now is only 7 years old.I'm welling up already i'll cry like a baby at the hospital.

Really feel for you C64, my dog developed it 4 years ago,we were lucky.

7 is no age at all I'm Gutted for ya Bud. :(

My Frank is coming up to his 14th Birthday, I knew his Mum & Dad, I met him at a day old & brought him back home at 7 weeks old & we've been together ever since, Just thinking about losing him wells me up so God knows how I'll be when I do finally lose him.
 
We had our cat put down yesterday. She was 20 years old (my fiancé has had her the full 20 years), her back legs had started to go and she was struggling to get about. She could walk but not without bumping into things.

It was the worst thing I have ever had to witness. It was like it was not her lay on the vets table :/

My thoughts are with everyone else who has lost a beloved pet.

Sorry to hear about your dog :(

One of the hardest things I've had to do was take our mutt about 18 months ago, he'd had liver and heart problems for a year and just stopped taking his tablets or specialist food and we could see him getting worse (I'd been spending about 1-2 hours a day getting him to eat the food with my routine set around that and his meds - I must have been mad*).

I still find myself looking underfoot as I open the door, and going to talk to him :/

*Or a typical dog owner.
 
We bought a dog about 18months ago. A rescue pup. Part terrier, part dachshund and probably some other mixes thrown in for good measure. She'll be two on June 11th.

While i was against the idea at first when the missus and kids were on at me everyday about getting one, (mainly cos not being able to get away as easily and a dog chewing up the house etc) We can't imagine life without her now. Love her to bits. Plus she's has the perfect temperament and as playful as you could ever want. I know our time is short, 10 maybe 15yrs, so i try and enjoy as much time with her as possible.

Smart as heck too ! So OP though i've yet to experience the loss myself, i know that when the time comes it will be a very very difficult one.
