R.I.P Proof of d12

I Dont think D12 are especially talented, i dont believe Proof was either. However getting shot is hardly fair, I wonder what the motive was.
Proof was almost certainly the most talented member of D12 bar Eminem...

Although I was never a huge fan of D12 I liked Proof. He had a really nice flow, very distinctive. The freestyles he did with Em were pretty tight too. R.I.P:(

If you live by the sword you die by the sword.
Its about time these silly boys grew up.
I think Eminem is a genius and I have D12 stuff too.
If you want to be Gangstaz and Souldjaz go and join the army.
Another death for nothing.

You quite right dmpoole, very sensible post.

I don't really understand the ironic connection either.

Just the fact that the film is about 8 mile road, eminem was the star of that film, eminem is in d12 and sings about 'toy soldiers' and other things to do with gang land deaths etc, although it is a tragedy that 'proof' was gunned down.

R.I.P

Sad to see anybody regardless of race/class/talent/whatever die.

Proof was also, imo, the most talented member of D12 bar Eminem.

You implied it, its unlikely a millionaire would need to rob old ladies.

You saw an implication that wasn't there. What's to say he didn't mean that he probably robbed people because he lived in the "ghetto" and had a "gangster/drug dealer" upbringing (from what I can guess, I don't know his life story). Race or colour didn't enter into the equation until you brought them up.

No, I asked a question.

Irony is when something isn't expected - this gunning down in 8 Mile Road was, so IRONY isn't the correct term.
<pedant mode off>

Exactly. If 8 Mile was documentary by Eminem on how 8 Mile is the safest place in America then Proof's death would be ironic.
