R.I.P Tina Turner

A bit before my time but an amazing performer and an amazing voice.

Incredible story too, she had to overcome so much and still lived an amazing life. RIP.

I’m pretty sure The Best made a huge impact on how popular Chris Eubank was in the 90’s.

The weird thing about The Best is that I thought it came out in 2001 as that was when I first heard it. I was 22 at the time. It later transpired that it came out in 1988!

Another thing I just remembered is that she performed the opening title for GoldenEye. Another classic.

Right from the mid sixties singing River deep she stood out as a strong vocalist. She survived Ike, a wife beater and made a solo career for which she won't be forgotten. Iconic lady.

Bloody hell, what a year. :(

RIP Tina. I saw one of the cars used in Beyond Thunderdome at the National Car Museum a couple of months ago.

It was a fully working vehicle, based on a Ford F-100 series ute, and powered by a 4.9 Cleveland V8.

Went to see Tina (the Musical) recently at the West End, fantastic show and a great performance from the lead, that didn't hold back from showing all aspects of her life and career.

One of the greats, RIP.
