  3. its total crap, as usual

  5. what nvidia fiasco
  6. you smell of fanboi
thats about it...:D

fiasco i guess is gonna be the 79 series failure rate, and the g80 series failure reports which are comming in all over the net.

also no point waiting for r600, reports are that its not gonna beat g80.

reports this early? I don't see how anyone would know, barring ATi/AMD of course. I dont think they would let that information out yet either.

Where are all these so called G80 failure reports?
I havent seen any where there is an actual problem, only the odd driver related one.

LOL @ People saying R600 is not going to be as fast as G80..

How the hell do you know, its not even been released yet

Some of you read this Bull Poop thats spread all over the internet and believe every single word of it..

Think about it, Revision, revision, revision, Refresh refresh refresh.

By the time the R600 is released, the G80s will be in their prime. Where as the R600 will be where the G80 is now, New and have possible problems. chances are it will have the same amount of people jumping on the 8800GTX is a faulty eww icky piece of hardware bandwagon..But for the R600 card released.

--

The R600 could be faster than the G80, Then again maybe it wont be. Like you said you don't know, Right now people can only go on what they've read cant they.

But the way I see it, Technology improves, R600 will be a new piece of technology for room to improve, But the G80 will already be on its way to being as perfect as Nvidia can get it.

thats exactly what we were getting at, and where has it been said the R600 will be slower than the G80? The speculation i've heard actually says the opposite. Admittedly though, it's only speculation and may be wrong.

According to inq! the r600 only has 64 piplines but can do 4 instrucions at once ( effective to 256 shader inscrutions...), g80 has 128 stream proc. but can only do one inc per cycle so (128 per cycle)the r600 if this is true will still woop g80 at shader intensive games , much like ati and nvidia seperation now , with games like oblivion etc , where ati has a large lead normally with shader heavy games., i am waiting till next year to see what ati brings to the table , and by that time nvidia will have a g80 refresh out so it might still be nvidia for me , but i must say for the money i am very immpressed with my 1950 pro . for now

Fiasco?

fiasco, fiasco, fiasco

....fiasco fiasco fiasco...

I've heard that word used about 30 times in the last few weeks here, it was a massive faulty batch.

Maybe people should look up what fiasco actually means, always dolloping on juicy words.

It was the fault of the board partners for pre-clocking the cards, not nvidia.

not the first batch. proof is around that all subsequent batched are bodged too. and its not looking good for the g80 too.

I dont get half of these posts , way I see it if Nvidia have a nice card out when I need a new gfx card then thats what I'll buy if its ATI at the time I need a card then thats the way I'll go , I don't undertstand why people go into this fanboy mode cos Nvidia are on the top spot at the moment , just get whatever card is best for you that is out at the time u need one , jeez couldnt be much simpler really could it.

P.S. I prolly will get a 8800 if I save enuff cash in time , if r600 is out by the time I've saved enuff money and that proves to be the better card then thats what i'll get. doh! I'm repeating myself ;)
