Do all 290X cards have somewhere to connect a DMM to monitor voltage or is it only brand specials?

I have two reference Powercolor 290x plus waterblocks arriving later today. Going to see what they're like on air for a bit before putting them under water.

What program should I be using to overclock them, and am I going to have to flash an Asus bios for voltage control or can the software programs do all that now?

Will I be voltage-limited using afterburner?

This isnt gonna be any different than any other 290x other than the 8gb version.

If it is a review for a 290X I have to list it in the OP.

Definitely not a reference PCB. i like these Vapor-X, wouldn't mind giving one a go, see how it compares to mine.

A lot more VRMs on them, neatly laid out

Two 8 pin connectors as well.

1170 is the highest i can get mine, anything over that it crashes with a snow screen....

What volts are you giving it ?

+100mv, +30mv PPL. 14.4

+100mv = 1.3v

That quite reasonable for 1170mhz

I need to unlock the extra volts in MSI AB, i'm also chicken, i can't afford to just go and replace these things if they go pop.

I don't believe in using crazy volts either.

I used to find that with my Asus Matrix Platinum 7970s.

Got me a powercolor 290x tuesday 28th (may, for future ref)

Today (29th) put an ek block on it

Now using sapphire trixx, i have her benching with no arts or problems in the valley bencher on extreme hd @ 1220/1650 with vddc offset @ 100 (no idea how much offset is needed)
