But they aren't hot or noise :confused:

if you loop 3dmark or heaven for hours on end yeah they'll get hot.. or run the fan @100% it'll be loud.

But for general use, imo, the cards are totally fine, idle temps 0f 32-35c and max temps while gaming of 80c (BF4).

People who actually have one say its not that hot or noisy, what it is is fast.

I went round to my mates to see his new 290X and it idled at 45C and under load hit 95C.

What case was it in? Mine idled at 36-38 on air in a HAFX.

OK Waterblock is on

I got problem tho. My VRM1 temperature gets up to 100c VRM2 40c in furmark on stock volts
My GPU max temperature in furmark is 56c after 7 minutes
I re tightened block and backplate 2 times now....
IDEAS guys ?? I did use bit of MX4 on each vrm and stuff.

EK block? If so, the thermal pads don't look right. Have you used the thicker ones on the memory? They're supposed to be on the VRM's

Your pics seems to show them still having one side of the backing on also, this been removed?

Hmm i wonder just cause you have Crossfire (2) R290X are they worth guying for 1080p? or one is all that's really needed? i have 144hz monitor.

Have you thought about getting two R9 290s when they launch next week, almost the same performance but should be a lot cheaper.

Well i don't really care about $$ all i want is "perfect" performance so i can just order put it in my PC turn on BF4 put everything on Ultra and play with 60+ Fps

So will 1 be enough or do I need 2 of them

?

Also was thinking about going for Windows 8.1 cause i heard it does make BF4 better experience.

He has a custom made Parvum Systems case. Could be why, I suppose.

Whoops!

Cut them up also, theyre supposed to be a small one on each memory module, not a strip all the way along. You could just double up and put another layer of the thinner one down on the VRM's but if you can use the right ones it would be of course be better. Is the backing tape off also on both sides?
