Rabbits can dig a fair way underground to get in. Only way to stop them is burying the fence 12" under ground. Also need a fine mesh, google but If iirc it needs to be 1" or less.

Or air rifle and bunny stew.

You only need to go down a 1/2" and then away at least 6" as they always dig up against what they are trying to get under.

As knip suggested get a humane trap, that way when you snap its neck and skin it for the rabbit stew you wont have to go looking for any fragments of shrapnel that could possibly damage your teeth

Mmm slow cooked rabbit stew sounds like a nice meal *nom nom slurrrrppp*.

Although I can't help but to picture a nice pie with homemade chips & side salad. One of those pies where you use a ceramic dish, all the filling at the bottom & then puff pastry on the top.
