i plan to get the pc version but i tried the ps3 demo as it was out first and it truly is awful

i hope the PC version really is better had high hopes for this game

dunno why the ps3 version is so bad
DIRT on the PS3 isnt that bad compared to the PC version

its the resolution on the PS3 that seems to make it look so ugly, whereas im running the demo @ 1900*1200 Ultra-High with no jaggies!! it also runs much smoother than DiRT also the handling seems much better.

the amended demo is out in under 2hrs ;p

IMPORTANT: If you get an error 6000 when starting the demo, make sure you don't have Scotty/Winpatrol running, causes problems :)

Upon starting for the first time, you type in your name, and then it presents you with a list of names to choose from; :confused: you might think, but select a name form this list and they'll audibly call you this throughout talking to you. :D Clever

Upon crashing and destroying your vehicle, you can rewind time (see bottom left corner) and start from any point. The instant replay mode in options (accessed by hitting ESC at any time) can also do this, iirc.

Looking good. what res/graphics card combo are you at, as 40fps is on the borderline of acceptable for me...?

Also, it has quite clearly kept lots of the DiRT eliments in terms of lighting, the softness of everything and lots of glaring light reflections.
 
Hmmm.. according to one of the Codemasters staff, the demo mistakenly released earlier today can cause MP games to crash.

Anyone who downloaded it may want to be sure they get the proper at 8pm.
