I bought the game, legally, as in went to a shop and paid for it, and had it in my hand, and installed it properly onto my machine, using legal disk, having paid full money for it and done everything legally....














... and then had to use a NoCD crack to get it to work!
 
works fine on mine, i do prefer to use the no cd cracks, but the one for grid is dodgy, wont let you race certain races in grid world, fine for online play though

What was your problem? Mine, explore.exe crashing every time I tried right-clicking, deleting, etc any .exe file. Sorted by using ShellExView to disable CmdLineContextMenu Class (SecuROM Context-Menu for Explorer).
 
I got a free copy with my mobo, got it working yesterday, looks great no graphical problems or anything for me, runs smooth on high settings at 1920x1080. Didn't have anyproblem with securom.
 
wish they would put a patch out for the scoring in this game,you can win a race then when the race is finished you see yourself coming second or last but it also does it if you dont win when it finishes you have won,and there is nothing worse when your racing and someone is in front of you and his car is jumping al over and then disapears and you are in the lead then his car appears again in front of you
 
Anyone else finding the catch-up in SP really anoying?

I did a test, I started a race and stayed in 12th position on purpose just to see the winners lap time register = 1 minute 55 seconds.

I then re-ran the same exact race only with me in the lead the entire way. I got 1 minute 14 seconds and the car in 2nd had 1 minute 20...

Thats 35 seconds more with catch up!

I never did get my free copy, they had run out :(. But i did get crysis instead so thanks Overclockers :).

This will be a crimbo pressie me thinks
 
I started GRID again now I have an XBOX360 controller, are the default configs for stuff like deadzone or w/e it is fine for the controller or anything need to be changed?

The handling feels off, breaking feels abit rubbish, the driving feels easy round corners though, even though I have assists turned off, I have traction control on.

lol, get assists on ! or it will handle like a turd ! im edge73 on there ;)

i use default setting on the 360 controller and its fine

its very competitive , especially the touring cars, plus theres hardly any assists off sessions. Learn to walk before you can run, armbands on before you swim etc :-)

Thats the reason it handles like a pig, assists off.

I noticed that too. I had all the assists turned off but it seemed to limit the throttle through the corners anyway - very annoying. Other than that I enjoyed it.
